My friends have been gently reminding me that a good blog is one that is frequently updated. Readers of this blog know that it is not frequently updated. I guess that's part of the gentle irony behind the name "Casual Asides."

Speaking of gentle irony, I guess people can't tell when I'm kidding anymore. The post below about banality was, of course, intentionally banal itself. Satire is not easy, and self-satire is even harder.

Anyway, there are a bunch of things I want to fix first. I'm getting a few more hits a day now, so I was thinking about adding a reply feature… what do you think? Oh, right–there's no way for you to tell me unless you e-mail me. No problem, reply feature coming up.
