I was trying to explain to someone today about why my internet service hasn't been hooked up in my new apartment. I likened the situation to Zeno's arrow, and I was going to do the same here. Just to be sure I looked up Zeno on Wikipedia.org, and discovered that what I had thought all along to be the arrow paradox is actually the dichotomy paradox.
I apologize to everyone I have regaled with the incorrect version over the past 15 years. What can I say, I never even took pre-calculus.
Speaking of ancient Greeks, I feel like a cave-dweller without having cable or the internet at home. Now that I'm finally ready to get back into the swing of things, news-wise, I'm still (relatively) cut off from the world.
All I can do in the meantime is work on my new website, which, as I have little else to discuss, I can talk about in an upcoming post, tommorrow. What I will say about the new site today is that it will be a frequently updated (stop laughing) blog about cultural politics and will solicit posts from readers–unlike this blog, which is about political culture and doesn't even solicit posts from its author.
